Safety is paramount in the Vito. In the event of an accident, vehicle occupants receive optimum protection from sophisticated seat-belt systems and best-in-class airbags.

All models come with a full-size front airbag for the driver. The crewbus also comes as standard with a front airbag for the co-driver.

The Vito features 3-point seat belts for all seats as standard. Driver and front passenger are also provided with seat-belt tensioners that instantly tighten the belt against the body in the event of a collision.

The optional seat-belt warning device for the driver and front-passenger seats raises passive safety standards. A visual and audible signal reminds the driver (and passenger) to fasten their seat belts when the vehicle moves off.
