


Representing the 9th generation of the world's most successful business sedan, the highly anticipated all-new E-Class has arrived in Asia for the first time. Since 1947, Mercedes-Benz has sold over 12 million E-Class cars, making this model a guiding star in the Mercedes-Benz universe. Showcased by two models, the all-new E 300 Avantgarde and E 300 Elegance are drawing visitors to the Mercedes-Benz booth at Auto Shanghai.
Mercedes-Benz's spectacular showcase of these two models further illustrates the automaker's unwavering confidence and commitment to the China market and the strong brand heritage which has captivated its fans for years. Additionally, the all-new E-Class will be available for order during the show and will enter the China market in the second half of this year, thus allowing Chinese customers to get behind the wheels of the all-new E-Class at a fast pace as the rest of the world.
The all-new E-Class further reinforces the leading position held by Mercedes-Benz in this segment, with over 20 new technological developments dedicated to improving safety, comfort and fuel efficiency. The safety technology in the new model has been enhanced, making the E-Class an "intelligent partner". Among the groundbreaking innovations in driving safety incorporated into the model are the ATTENTION ASSIST, Intelligent Light System and automatic emergency braking. The all-new E-Class also takes comfort a step further with improved seating and the newly-developed DIRECT CONTROL suspension with standard-fit amplitude-dependent damping system, which can adjust automatically to suit the prevailing driving conditions. The outstanding safety and comfort of the new E-Class are matched by its environmental compatibility and fuel economy. The BlueEFFICIENCY package featured in the
E-Class is in large part responsible for the considerable fuel savings. The suite includes aerodynamic design and energy-saving control of the generator, air conditioning compressor and power steering.
