

The 2008 Mercedes-Benz 'Swing for the Stars' National Junior Tennis Camp was launched on Oct. 25th 2008 in Nanjing amid great fanfare. Six camp participants selected from regional Mercedes-Benz 'Swing for the Stars' Junior Tennis Camps and 20 professional junior players from province-level tennis teams participated in the 7-day training program. After training and game activities, three participants of the national camp and four professionals will fly to the Eugene American Tennis College in Oregon, U.S.A in February, to attend a one-month training and competition program, which symbolizes the successful completion of the 2008 Mercedes-Benz 'Swing for the Stars' junior tennis development plan.
National-level coaching, targeted professional training and instruction from world champions have brought the professional quality of this year's tennis camp to a new level. Mr. Jeff Bearup, Junior Coach of the Year in United States Tennis Association planed all the programs for the tennis camp and will co-instruct with the Chinese coach Liu Shuo. The coaching team formulated a more specific training regiment and intensive exercises to individually suit the physique and features of each player with the aim enhance their competitive performance on the fundamental level.
