Objective of job
1. Assist in the AC & New Training Program strategy development to meet retail management talents' needs/support dealer group commitment and maintain cost control.
2. Manage and supervise the AC to ensure an ongoing recruitment pipeline and high level of quality of new retail management.
3. Initiate, develop and implement new training programs (e.g.: District Management Qualification) to improve regional dealers'support on training issues.
Job designation
1. Assessment Center & Training Program Strategy Support
• Assist the Senior Manager in the Assessment Center & Training Program strategy development.
• Provide Senior Manager with the Assessment Center & Training Program related forecast budget, project plans, facility requirements and human resource needs.
• Monitor regularly the performance/results of the Assessment Center & Training Program against defined KPIs (e.g. budget investment) and provide regular reports.

2. Assessment Center Management
• Conduct needs analysis, develop, update and pilot-test Assessment Center tools based on Daimler LEAD competency framework to meet the required qualification level of the dealer management.
• Train regularly all internal assessors (e.g. District Managers, Dealer Groups) on updates of the AC tools to maintain a high quality standard of the Assessment Center.
• Observe the actual Assessment Center onsite and conduct feedback interview with Assessment Center candidates to understand the actual quality level of internal and external assessors.
• Align Assessment Center strategy and define specific competency requirements with core functions of S&M, CAS and ND to meet the overall company business plan.
• Prepare update of Assessment Center policies for discussion in Assessment Center Steering Committee and implement timely implement decisions.
• Communicate candidate assessment center report for approval of Regional Office and feedback final decisions to dealer.
• Consolidate special cases (e.g. candidate failed assessment center) for immediate Steering Committee approval and feedback decision to dealer.

3. New Training Program Development
• Conduct training needs analysis with departments (ND, CAS, S&M) regional officer from MBCL & BBAC to align with business needs.
• Set up training concept based on training needs analysis result and develop training content in collaboration with external consultants.
• Conduct pilot training, align with departments and make adjustments regarding the results, to ensure the training quality.
• Analyze pilot results and prepare training summary to the management team related departments.

4. Vendor Management
• Manage and guide smooth purchasing and financial processes between vendor and internal stakeholders (e.g. IPS/F&C) to meet the cost control and timeline.
• Develop and maintain a strategic network of quality vendors in the area of management assessment center and qualification programs including vendor selection, vendor evaluation and vendor relations.
• Direct vendors onsite and provide ad-hoc feedback if required to improve quality of service delivery and understanding of the Assessment Center & Training Program needs.

5. People Management
• Manage the performance of subordinates by setting targets and monitoring results.
• Develop and motivate subordinates according to their abilities and needs of the Training & Retail Qualification department.
• Determine training needs and secure suitable training.
• Provide continuously guidance, support and feedback to subordinates.
Qualification required
Education:
• Bachelor degree and above (major in Management, HR, English or MBA is preferred).
• English level-CET 4 and above.

Experience:
• Minimum five-year full-time working experience in management training operation.

Specific Knowledge:
• Good command of English and Mandarin, both written and spoken will be essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access and Chinese Word Processing.
• Good knowledge for training needs analysis, training plan setting, training evaluation, and training concept design.
• Basic knowledge for AC assessment tools and process.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Customer-oriented, business focus.
