| International Procurement Services (IPS) is a global Procurement organization with strongly growing local Procurement Department, responsible for Procurement of Non-productive Material and Services worldwide. MBCL IPS has the task to negotiate and sign contracts for all kind of Procurement Material and Services for Mercedes Benz (China) Ltd and other entities, combine the demands of different departments and entities, standardize the material or service requirements of Requestors, optimize the suppliers in different commodities, so as to ensure the product and service quality with best prices. The Assistant Manager of IPS will closely work together with marketing department for different marketing projects, i.e. Event management, Media cooperation, different Marketing projects of central and dealer level etc. He needs to understand internal requirements, analyze quotations, negotiate for best prices in projects, and efficiently communicate with the different parties. |

| 1. For projects: Independently execute Purchasing projects according to the Procurement Guideline and procedures, fully guarantee the purchasing activities to be in line with ICS, FCPA and DAG rules and regulations. This includes to check RFQs, evaluate and analyze vendor's quotations, make sourcing decision together with requestor, undertake price negotiation with external vendors, review contracts for related terms and conditions, etc. 2. Proactively do market research, cost structure analysis and develop Purchasing strategies for appointed commodities in China, especially in Marketing area. 3. Cooperate with other buyers and requestors in regard to Marketing projects, such as Autoshow, Formel 1, Dealer Events, Launch parties. 4. Consult, Coach& Communicate Requestors to ensure compliance with Procurement process. Identify improvement potentials in Procurement process to achieve better results. 5. Supplier management, including supplier communication, negotiation, and systematic evaluation of suppliers’ performance and cooperation strategies |

| Skills–general skills, personality traits - High level of integrity, good negotiation skills, discipline, strong communication skill, creativity, open minded and pro-active, hard working, willingness to travel Functionality Skills – Process and technical skills - Familiar with purchasing processes, understanding with marketing activities, knowledge of purchasing systems and standards, basic knowledge of SOA and FCPA, ability to manage purchasing affairs, organization talent Experience and education - Bachelor degree in business administration, management or equivalent. Purchasing experience in a national or multinational company for at least 3 years. Basic knowledge of marketing related items (events, advertising, media, hotel etc.). Basic legal knowledge of Chinese business law. Fluent English language sufficient for daily negotiations. Familiar with MS-office tools. SAP basic skills are an advantage Mgt and leadership skills - Team player, Project Management, strategic thinking, target oriented, ability to work under pressure |
