Objective of job
Oversee and drive the implementation and maintenance of effective compliance program / activities in responsible business area, in accordance with compliance requirements of the company.
Job designation
- Timely make and roll out annual compliance plan in responsible business area;
- Embed compliance / risk management culture, ensuring the business units understand and take ownership for managing compliance risks;
- Implement compliance program (e.g. FCPA internal control program) in responsible business area, and supervise day-to-day compliance activities;
- In a timely, effective and consistent manner, deal with daily compliance consultation process within responsible business area. Provide proposed solutions / feedback based on Daimler corporate and local policies & guidelines;
- Provide timely and effective coordination and facilitation to Due Diligence processes for third party relationships and contracts consistent with Daimler standards in responsible business area;
- Timely set up or update local compliance related rules and guidelines in responsible business area in accordance with Daimler standards, policies and guidelines;
- Identify training needs in responsible business area, and provide relevant training / communication / guidance to business units on compliance matters to ensure good awareness, implementation and maintenance of compliance in relevant business area;
- Ongoing monitoring of new initiatives and existing business in responsible business area to identify/mitigate any potential risk/compliance issues;
- Prepare compliance report to the head of local compliance office, and oversee compliance of and within the responsible business area;
- Conduct compliance risk assessments for responsible business area, aggregate and analyze compliance issues and trends, and provide summary to the head of local compliance office.
- Monitor industry and regulatory developments, and make compliance
recommendations to the head of local compliance office.
Qualification required
Skills:
1) Commitment to hard work, even under great pressure; ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts;
2) Ability to conduct independent research and analysis; proactive, analytical, detail-minded, and creative problem solving abilities.

Functionality Skills:
1) Strong interpersonal, oral and writing communication skills in both English and Chinese;
2) Ability to make effective presentation for internal and external audiences;
3) PC literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience and Education:
1) At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in international companies;
2) Strong background/experience in reviewing and identifying weakness in compliance control processes, especially in the compliance / audit / accounting professions;
3) Basic knowledge of FCPA and other applicable anti-bribery laws, regulations and standards; familiar with internal control and business operation;
4) Advanced degree in law, accounting, or business management.

Management and Leadership skills:
1) High degree of Leadership skills, including the ability to articulate Daimler standards and expectations as outlined in the relevant policies and codes, and ensure that these are applied consistently to the local situation;
2) Strong communication and facilitation skills;
3) Analytical thinking and results-oriented;
4) Strong project management capability.
