


Based in Beijing, Daimler Northeast Asia (DNEA) is responsible for the operations of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Mercedes-Benz Vans, Daimler Trucks and Daimler Financial Services in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Republic of Korea. It imports vehicles in the region under the Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and smart brands, and builds Mercedes-Benz sedans and vans in China. DNEA has a joint venture in Beijing with Beijing Automotive Industrial Holding Company (BAIC), called Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive Ltd (BBDC) which produces Mercedes-Benz E-Class and C-Class Sedans. It also has a joint venture in Fuzhou with Fujian Motors Group and China Motors Corp called Fujian Daimler Automotive Ltd (FJDA), which will produce Mercedes-Benz Vito/Viano and Sprinter transporters. DNEA is also working with Beiqi Foton in Beijing to offer mid-and-heavy duty trucks and technology in China.
As a joint-venture wholesale company, Mercedes-Benz (China) Ltd (MBCL), imports almost the entire MBC passenger car product line to mainland China, and manages the brand, sales, service and distribution for MBC products in China. MBCL also oversees the Hong Kong operation via Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Ltd. (a 100% Daimler AG subsidiary), which manages the imported MBC passenger cars and CV for Hong Kong and Macau.
Daimler imports and is planning to produce medium and heavy duty Mercedes-Benz trucks in China. The Company currently sells the Mercedes-Benz Actros, Axor, Atego and Econic trucks in Chinese market. With first class quality, reliability, economic soundness, long maintenance intervals, innovative design, ergonomic interiors and high safety standards, Mercedes-Benz trucks are the worldwide benchmark for commercial vehicles.
Daimler also sells the Mercedes-Benz Unimog in China - the ultimate all-terrain vehicle series with unbeatable off road capability. It can be used as a personnel shuttle in the jungle or desert, for petroleum exploration, as forest fire engine or off road ambulance, among many other uses.
As the world's third-largest captive financial services provider, Daimler Financial Services enjoys an excellent strategic position. The company is based in Berlin and is operating in over 40 countries.
Daimler was the first automotive company in China to provide customer and dealer financing for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Daimler Financial Services, the finance unit of Daimler AG, started its business operations in China with the official opening of the new company Mercedes-Benz Auto Finance Ltd in November, 2005. Mercedes-Benz Auto Finance Ltd headquartered in Beijing with approximately 100 employees, working closely with dealers to provide "One-Stop-Solutions" to their customers. In the initial phase the company is offering retail financing, wholesale financing and insurance in 15 cities. It continues to expand its operations to include other cities and eventually serve all of China.
Daimler Northeast Asia Parts Trading and Services Co., Ltd. (DPTS), which was established in April 2008, is headquartered in Beijing and running three operative warehouses in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The headquarter is taking care of the administrational processes, including inventory management, importation, domestic trading, export, customer relationship management, procurement, transportation management, warehouse management, contract management and cost planning, as backbone to the three warehouses which do the physical distribution.
As a 100% subsidiary of Daimler Northeast Asia, DPTS aims to integrate the spare parts logistics supply for all Daimler activities in PR China under one roof, including MB PC, MB CV, MB Van, Maybach and smart. The target of DPTS is to provide MB-Standard service level with cost efficiency by synergies mainly in warehouse, transportation and administration.
Established on August 8, 2005, Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive Co., Ltd. (BBDC) is a joint venture founded by Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co., Ltd (BAIC), Daimler AG and Daimler Northeast Asia Ltd. (DNEA). BBDC's new plant is located at Beijing Economic & Technological Development Area (BDA), boasting an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. As one of the most advanced automaker facilities in the world, BBDC has its manufacturing philosophy based on the criteria including state-of-the-art technique, excellent management, strict quality control, strong emphasis on sustainable and environmentally friendly processes, and highly-trained technical workers. BBDC produces vehicles carrying world famous brands such as Mercedes-Benz C-Class, E-Class and so on.
Fujian Daimler Automotive Ltd (FJDA) is the joint venture established in October 2007 by Daimler AG, Fujian Motors Group (FJMG) and Taiwan-based China Motors Corp (CMC) in Fuzhou, which will build Mercedes-Benz Vito/Viano and Sprinter multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) and Vans. At maximum capacity, FJDA will be able to produce up to 40,000 vehicles annually, but will be flexible enough to adjust volume and model mix based on demand.
