MercedesTrophy: Golf Event swings in Shaoxing

The two-day session of 4th MercedesTrophy in China has taken place in Jian Lake Golf Club of Shaoxing on June 26, 2006. From this tournament the 2006 Team China was born. They were sent to Stuttgart – the Mercedes-Benz home town in Germany – for the World Final in September 2006. In Stuttgart the Chinese Mercedes-Benz customers had an opportunity to exchange their golf experiences with Mercedes-Benz customers and golf fans from all over the world. As an exquisite leisure sport, the golf competition among the Mercedes owners globally not only reflects Mercedes-Benz's relationship program for its users, but also fully presents the human spirit contained of its brand.

78 players from North, South and East China participated in the China National Final. The six winners in the competitions of 2004 & 2005 in China came to participate in the tournament as VIP guests. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class was the Hole-In-One Award for the competition. As one of the key product line worldwide, the C-Class reflects the dynamic spirit, same as the golf sport, which expresses a modern and sporty lifestyle.

Jian Lake Golf Club located in the south of Jian Lake in Shaoxing Keyan scenery spot, and the golf course has the sightseeing features of south of Yangtze River. The golf fairway of 7435 yards, 72 standard swings and 18 cups designed by Mr. Mark E. Hollinger from JMP- a US Golf design company, is in accordance with the international championship standard and Mercedes-Benz brand positioning.
