 | In the course of Auto China 2006, Mercedes-Benz (China) Ltd. and Beijing Benz-Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. invited their dealers to visit the auto show and held a grand family dinner in Grand Hyatt Beijing. Over 100 dealer representatives of Mercedes-Benz in mainland China were invited to get together there. In the beginning of the dinner, the management team from MBCL & BBDC presented their salutatories to express their appreciations to the dealers for their long-standing supports to Mercedes-Benz business in China. The recreational activities and performances thereafter brought the atmosphere to climax. Dealers and other honorable guests participated in the live games actively. During the dinner, they greeted, toasted to each other, and achieved the mutual recognition of trying to strengthen better communication and cooperation. A broad product portfolio and a nation-wide network of 72 authorized sales and service centers and outlets give Mercedes-Benz a strong foothold in China's luxury car market. Up to October 2006, Mercedes-Benz's China sales (inclusive of Hong Kong and Macau) totaled 17,971 units, with the mainland reporting a 49% increase year-on-year. Its flagship series, the S-Class, in particular, notched up a strong showing, guaranteeing the leading position in its target market segment. |
